A wider catalog than it seems
The bathroom isn’t only for flowery bathtub scenes. The Brunelia catalog for this room covers 3 quite different sub-themes: vintage soap advertising, Art Deco bath and pool scenes, and a few posters with a touch of humor. Plenty of choice for a specific mood rather than a generic poster.
Soap advertising, a retro classic
Bottles, bars of soap and hygiene slogans from the 1920s to the 1950s: several posters borrow the style of old soap advertising, in pastel tones or more restrained flat colors. They suit a sink or a shelf, in a small size.
Bath and pool, the Art Deco spirit
A clawfoot tub, a male or female diver at the edge of a 1930s pool, a stylized sink: this 2nd sub-theme draws on the geometric lines and bold colors of Art Deco, in the same vein as the rest of the Brunelia catalog.
In the same spirit
A touch of humor to lighten the room
An animal in the bathtub (giraffe, cat) twists the subject with a light touch. These posters work well in a family bathroom or a powder room, where a scene that’s too serious would be out of place.
On placement and framing
Choosing the location and a frame suited to humidity (glass, aluminum, distance from the shower) is detailed in our complete bathroom guide, so we don’t repeat the same rule here.
The Victorian bathtub, before Art Deco
One poster goes back further than the 1920s-1930s: the clawfoot bathtub, emblematic of late 19th-century bathrooms, set against dark green wallpaper with gold patterns and a red curtain, in a Victorian style distinct from the Art Deco lines already presented.
The spa, another idea of the bath
Alongside the pool and diving board already presented, one poster evokes a spa and a soothing thermal bath, in ocher, blue-green and brick red tones typical of Art Deco ads from the 1930s to the 1950s: a more intimate register than the public pool scene.
The perfume bottle, beyond soap
Soap advertising isn’t the only toiletry on show: one poster also features a crystal perfume bottle resting on draped pink silk among a few flowers, in powdery tones, different from the Art Deco graphics of the soap ads already mentioned.

Frequently asked questions
You often ask us
Are humorous posters (animal in the bathtub) suitable for every bathroom?
They fit best in a family bathroom or a powder room, where a light touch is welcome; for a more understated bathroom, the soap advertising or Art Deco posters remain more neutral.
What’s the difference between soap advertising posters and Art Deco bath posters?
Soap advertising posters borrow the graphic style of old ads (bottle, slogan), while Art Deco bath posters stage a bathtub, a sink or a pool in the geometric lines of the 1930s.
