Botanical plate of flowering Sicilian lemons poster

Sicilian lemon tree in bloom poster, “SICILIAN LEMON”

A Sicilian lemon tree takes center stage in this illustration, with its glossy green leaves, white blossoms and intensely yellow fruit. It stands out against a blue sky where 2 birds are flying, in front of bluish and beige hills. At the foot of the tree, a lemon cut in half rests on a low wall of pale stone and reveals its flesh and segments. The flat-color style stays crisp and luminous. The vertical composition combines yellow, green, white and blue, and the title “SICILIAN LEMON” appears in green capitals beneath the image.

A blooming lemon tree for the kitchen or sunroom

Its luminous yellow and glossy greens suit a kitchen, a dining room, a sunroom or an entryway. The vertical format sits nicely near a window or between 2 cabinets. It echoes white, earthenware, light wood, terracotta and potted plants. With other citrus or plant illustrations, it makes a cohesive series. It would be a lovely present for a lover of Sicily and Italy, a gardener who grows a potted lemon tree or a fan of Mediterranean cooking.
