about this poster

Mexico poster, jaguar mask dancer on the plaza

In the middle of a festival on a seaside plaza, a dancer wears a carved and painted wooden jaguar mask, with a fringed costume that sways with every step. Around him, musicians play guitar, garlands of papel picado flutter overhead and pottery stalls line up. A row of palm trees runs along the waterfront in front of a pink colonial church with a tall bell tower. The title “MÉXICO” crowns this lively, festive Mexico poster.

A festive poster for the living room or kitchen

Full of details and colors, it brings life to a living room, a kitchen, a dining room or an entryway. Its vertical format showcases the pink bell tower and the palm trees. It pairs well with painted pottery, woven textiles, potted cacti, terracotta and raw wood. It can be combined with other Latin American posters for a travel wall. It is the perfect gift for someone who loves Mexico, a traveler back from Oaxaca or the Yucatán, or a friend who enjoys folk festivals.

Your questions

What does the “MÉXICO” poster depict?

It shows a festival on a seaside plaza in Mexico: a jaguar mask dancer, guitarists, garlands of papel picado, pottery stalls and a pink colonial church.

What is the papel picado seen on the poster?

These are garlands of cut paper, very common at Mexican festivals. On the poster, they flutter above the plaza, over the musicians and the masked dancer.

Choosing the size and the spot

Measure the space available on your wall, allowing for the frame you want to use. Then compare the sizes offered on this page and check the orientation of the artwork.

For a set of several posters, also plan the gaps between the frames. Keep your decor away from water splashes and heat sources.
