Fushimi Inari poster, the vermilion torii path in Kyoto

At dusk, the long rows of vermilion torii gates at the Fushimi Inari shrine wind up the wooded hill, lit by stone lanterns. Visitors in kimonos walk beneath the gates. At the foot of the path stands the Rōmon gate, also vermilion, with its 2 stories and curved roofs. The bright vermilion stands out against the dark green of the forest and gives the scene a contemplative, almost mysterious atmosphere. This Kyoto poster bears the title “FUSHIMI INARI”.
